The mission of the NYFABME is to provide financial and nonfinancial support to one or more New York schools, or programs within New York schools, that foster French-English bilingual and multicultural education, promote the implementation of both the French and American educational styles, and/or encourage the teaching of Francophone culture and multiculturalism.

La mission de la "Friends of" est d'apporter un soutien financier ou non-financier à des écoles de New York, ou à des programmes à l'intérieur d'écoles de New York, qui favorisent une éducation bilingue franco-américaine et multiculturelle, promeuvent la combinaison de méthodes d'éducation françaises et américaines ainsi que l'enseignement de la diversité culturelle francophone.
